What is KOMPETE?
KOMPETE is a cross-platform multiplayer gaming platform developed by Modernize Games, founded by Justin Meister, a former professional gamer with competitive experience in NBA2K, Madden, and Fortnite. Built in Unreal Engine 5, the game delivers photorealistic graphics across multiple competitive modes. It is still in early access and runs on Ethereum and Base blockchains.
The platform offers unified progression across all devices, meaning your KOMPETITOR and cosmetics sync whether you’re playing on PC, Android, or iOS, with PlayStation and Xbox versions still on the way. Mahzookoo Island serves as the central hub where all game modes connect. Your character spawns in mode-specific areas, such as K2 Raceway for kart racing, the Sunrise Greens golf course, or drop zones for Blitz Royale.
How Does KOMPETE Work?
Begin by creating your KOMPETITOR using a detailed character creator with 80+ morphable areas including facial features, height, weight, and muscle definition. You select physical attributes and skill builds optimized for each game mode. Strategic build choices matter, because attributes that excel in one mode may underperform in the fast-paced Blitz Royale.
Current game modes offer diverse competitive experiences. Blitz Royale features battle royale gameplay with respawn mechanics, jet packs, jump pads, and vertical wall-climbing mobility. Kart Race delivers high-speed racing across Mahzookoo Island. Social Deduction tests psychological gameplay with hidden role mechanics. Golf offers a full 18-hole, par-72 course, while Basketball is listed as coming soon. Movement systems include responsive dodge rolls that reward skilled play, and proximity voice chat enables tactical coordination with teammates while limiting opponent communication by distance.
The game receives regular updates through Modernize Launcher, Epic Games, Google Play, and the App Store, and it requires an online connection.

The $KOMPETE token functions as an ERC-20 utility token on Ethereum, with a supply of 850 million after 150 million tokens were burned. It powers The Bazaar, the in-game NFT marketplace where players buy, sell, and trade cosmetic items exclusively using $KOMPETE.
The economy operates across dual pathways. Players purchase cosmetics with fiat currency through standard payment methods (Web2), or use cryptocurrency through the integrated wallet (Web3). Web2 cosmetics function as traditional in-game items but support one-way conversion into ERC-1155 NFTs. Divine rarity cosmetics remain exclusive to Web3 purchases and immediately function as tradable NFTs on The Bazaar.
The Limited Time Shop and Divine Shop rotate premium items purchasable with ETH and $VOOLAH in-game currency. Cosmetic values derive from genuine scarcity and market demand rather than inflationary token mechanics. Players also earn cosmetics through XP progression, ticket rewards, and fame level advancement without monetary investment. The token launched with structured distribution (completed March 2024) and maintains a modest transaction fee funding development without external venture capital.
