What is My Pet Hooligan?
My Pet Hooligan is developed by AMGI Studios, a Los Angeles-based studio co-founded by Luke Paglia that combines animation expertise with blockchain gaming. The game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and features AMGI’s proprietary facial motion capture technology, letting players use their computer’s camera to mirror their real expressions onto their Hooligan character in real time. This technology extends to Hooligram, a VTuber tool for NFT holders to perform and stream as their character.
Animoca Brands partnered with AMGI Studios in August 2025, acquiring $KARRAT tokens on the open market and advising on tokenomics and go-to-market strategy. An Xbox version is in development alongside the existing PC release. The game shifted from free-to-play to a paid early access model in March 2025 at $9.99, increasing to $19.99 at full launch.
How Does My Pet Hooligan Work?
The game runs across three core modes. Coinpocalypse is a competitive coin-collecting mode where players race to accumulate coins while disrupting opponents. Anarchy is a free-for-all elimination mode. Hang Out is an open-world social space where players explore, combat ZuckBots, and view community-created content.
The Fully Loaded update in August 2025 added the Big Energy Carrot Stadium, overhauled skateboard physics, smoother combat and movement systems, and the first version of the Faction Reputation system. The Founders Pass was replaced with a streamlined Faction Progression system that ties character advancement to faction allegiance.
Upcoming features include mini-games, an extraction mechanic, an AI chat system, cross-chain payment support, and ZuckBots as in-game NFT companions with their own seven-faction lore structure. The full release is targeting Q2 2026.
Digital Collectibles in My Pet Hooligan
The genesis Hooligan NFT collection consists of 8,888 unique characters on Ethereum, each with distinct traits and faction membership. NFT holders play as their own character and begin with the weapon or item their Hooligan is depicted holding. Non-holders can still play the game but use standard characters rather than their own NFT.
ZuckBots are a second NFT collection of Ethereum-based companions with seven factions. $KARRAT is the ERC-20 utility and governance token powering the AMGI ecosystem, used for marketplace transactions, staking, and governance votes. The My Pet Hooligan Marketplace V1 supports trading of Hooligan and ZuckBot NFTs using $KARRAT, with card payments, rentals, and additional features planned. Custom skins and on-chain cosmetics are supported through the game’s web3 layer.
Getting Started in My Pet Hooligan
Purchase and download on Epic Games Store or Steam for $9.99. Create a game account and connect an Ethereum wallet if you hold Hooligan or ZuckBot NFTs to play as your character. Standard characters are available without NFT ownership. Join Discord for faction events, UGC contests with $KARRAT rewards, and patch notes.
