Dragonmaster
Do you enjoy dragon collection games with real strategic depth? DragonMaster blends RTS, MOBA, and collection mechanics in a PvP battle format set across the mythical world of Lemuria. Built on Polygon, it lets you breed, train, and battle dragons across five-track arenas while participating in a player-driven token economy.
What is DragonMaster?
DragonMaster is a blockchain-based strategy game developed by Magic Hat, a gaming studio founded in early 2021 with a team based primarily in the UK. The game launched officially on March 21, 2022, on the Polygon blockchain, chosen for its low transaction fees and fast confirmation times compared to Ethereum mainnet.
The game is set in Lemuria, a world where dragon tribes battle over Totem Stones — a raw ingredient used to produce Dragon Crystals. Five-track battlefields with obstacles and power-ups form the combat arenas, while the broader world supports resource collection, dragon breeding, and an active NFT marketplace.
How Does DragonMaster Work?
Combat requires a minimum of four dragons of different sizes, with size directly affecting attributes: larger dragons carry more weight but deal less attack damage, while smaller dragons hit harder and move faster. Each dragon has two attribute categories — basic stats (Attack, Weight, Speed, Durability) and skill attributes (Critical Hit, Acceleration, Lifesteal, Shield, Freeze, Blast) that vary by dragon race. There are 13 dragon races in the current version.
Battles play out across 1v1, 2v2, and group formats. Winners earn $TOTEM, which can be used to buy in-game items, upgrade the talent system, or trade on the marketplace. Players can also complete daily quests for additional $TOTEM rewards outside of PvP. Sacred Altar mechanics let $TOTEM holders passively earn $DMT every two hours based on their share of the total $TOTEM pool.
Breeding lets you combine two dragons to produce offspring, with results depending on parent attributes — a straightforward way to work toward rarer and more capable dragons without direct purchases.
Digital Collectibles in DragonMaster
DragonMaster runs a dual-token economy. $TOTEM is the in-game reward token earned through battles and quests. $DMT (Dragon Master Token) is the ERC-20 governance token with a maximum supply of 1 billion, used for staking rewards, governance votes, and deeper economic participation.
Dragon NFTs come in 13 races with randomised basic and skill attributes at mint. Genesis Dragon Eggs were the founding NFT drop — players who minted them received Genesis Player NFTs and $DMT airdrops. Breeding produces new Dragon NFTs from existing ones, with no additional genesis drops planned.
The October 2023 update added NFT Staking, Merge, Burn, and Cross-Chain functionality. Staking lets you deposit dragons for daily $DMT rewards from a 10,000 $DMT daily pool, with bonuses for filling all staking slots. Merging two identical dragons of the same species, quality, and network produces a single more powerful dragon. Cross-chain transfers between Meter and Polygon run via LayerZero technology. NFTs are also tradeable on OpenSea and the native DragonMaster marketplace.
Getting Started in DragonMaster
DragonMaster is available on Android and iOS. Download the app and create an account to access the free Arena mode, which runs on Energy and costs nothing to play. To participate in $TOTEM and $DMT matches, you’ll need dragon NFTs — check the native marketplace or OpenSea for current listings. Connect a Polygon-compatible wallet (MetaMask works) to manage NFT assets and token rewards. The Discord community is the most active channel for current game updates and announcements.
Note: development activity has been limited since late 2023. Core gameplay and NFT features remain functional, but check Discord before committing significant funds.
