What is Heroes of Mavia?

Heroes of Mavia is a base-building strategy game set on a tropical island. You build up your base, train an army and attack other players’ bases for resources, while they try to do the same to you. If you have played the classic mobile base-raiding games, the loop will feel familiar within minutes.

The game comes from Skrice Studios, a studio in Vietnam that works only on Mavia. It has passed one million downloads on Google Play, where it holds a 4.4 rating from about 24,000 reviews, and the art has a bright, cartoony 3D style with a lot of character.

How Does Heroes of Mavia Work?

Your base is your home. You place walls, turrets and traps to protect your Gold, Oil and Ruby, and you upgrade buildings to unlock stronger units. Your army mixes infantry such as the Striker, Markswoman, Brute and Blaze with vehicles and aircraft, led by Heroes like Mira, Brutus and the Warlord.

Attacks are where the strategy lives. You scout an enemy base, pick your troops and decide where to drop them, then watch your plan play out. Replays let you study what went wrong in a defence, and you can spectate your teammates’ attacks live.

Alliances add the social layer. In Alliance Wars, teams fight over territory on a shared map across a season. Ruby Battles are a different kind of contest: two players attack the same base with the same random set of units, and the better result on stars, damage and time wins.

Digital Collectibles in Heroes of Mavia

Ruby is the game’s premium currency. It stays off-chain, and you win it in battles and challenges. You can use Ruby to mint Legendary Items as NFTs, such as skins and statues, and trade them on the Ruby Marketplace. Land plots also exist as NFTs in Common, Rare and Legendary versions.

The $MAVIA token runs on Base, the Ethereum layer-2 network. It is the only way to buy or sell Ruby on the web marketplace and is also used for governance votes. None of this is needed to play: you can start, build and fight without any NFT, token or wallet.

Getting Started in Heroes of Mavia

Download Heroes of Mavia for free from the App Store or Google Play via the official website. You can play as a guest or sign in with Google, or with Apple on iOS. The game has optional in-app purchases.

In your first session, finish the tutorial, pick a username and spend your first resources on defences before you start raiding. Good to know: link a Google or Apple account early, because a guest account can lose its progress and can’t collect Ruby from battles.
