What is Apeiron?

Apeiron is a god-game roguelite card-battler developed by Foonie Magus, a Hong Kong development team founded by CEO Frank Cheng. The game is backed by investors including Hashed, Spartan Group, Morningstar Ventures, IVC, and DeFiance. Apeiron runs on Sky Mavis’ Ronin blockchain, alongside Axie Infinity and Pixels.

Apeiron: Godling Genesis is available on mobile through the Apple App Store and Google Play, including the US App Store. On PC it runs through the Epic Games Store and Mavis Hub, while its Steam Early Access release is still listed as coming soon. Cross-platform progress syncs across all devices via Ronin wallet integration.

As a Godling summoned by High Goddess Cosmos to battle the Mad God Chaos, players nurture planets inhabited by doods, cute followers who worship their deity. The godiverse spans galaxies based on world mythology and folklore, with content unlocking seasonally through Guild vs Guild Alliance gameplay and large-scale Raid Boss battles. Apeiron revives the god simulation genre popular in the early 2000s while adding modern roguelite dungeon crawling and competitive PvP arenas.

How Does Apeiron Work?

Apeiron splits gameplay between god simulation and dungeon combat. In god mode, you control a Planet using elemental Miracles to answer dood prayers or punish their sins. Your divine choices shape the world. Benevolent gods create heavenly paradises while wrathful deities forge blasted hellscapes. Planets grow and evolve based on player actions, with environmental changes affecting dood behavior and planet capabilities.

Combat takes place in the Dirac Dimension’s procedurally-generated dungeons. You summon an Avatar, a powerful elemental construct, and battle through grid-based rooms accompanied by dood Apostles. The real-time card-battling system combines Slay the Spire deck-building with MOBA-style timing, requiring precise reads and split-second card plays. Each dungeon run generates unique layouts with enemy encounters, treasure rooms, shops, campfires, and Boss Rooms at Depth 3.

Six Apostle classes offer different skill sets, with each Apostle featuring randomized abilities and power ratings. Build your team strategically to complement your Avatar’s elemental affinities. Campfires let you bless, level-up, or resurrect Apostles between combat encounters. Shops sell potions, consumables, and items using Soul Gems earned through gameplay. Caged Fairies can resurrect units mid-battle, while Godsblood and Spiritslime Potions heal your Avatar and Apostles respectively.

Competitive play centers on Guild Wars, a tournament where guilds from North America and Southeast Asia battle it out on leaderboards before the playoffs.

Digital Collectibles in Apeiron

Apeiron uses three tokens on Ronin blockchain. $APRS is the governance token, which you can stake to raise your VIP level and unlock perks. $ANIMA is earned through winning matches and required for breeding planets. Animus serves as in-game currency for buying items and cosmetics. The studio is currently revising its tokenomics, including APRS and the Primeval Planets, so expect changes here.

Four NFT collections trade on Mavis Market. Planets are your main gameplay assets, and owning two lets you breed new planets through Celestial Conjunction using $ANIMA tokens. Stars function as virtual land that ages your Planets over time, unlocking more equipment slots. Origins provide hero characters, while Godiverse Artifacts offer equipment upgrades. All NFTs can be bought, sold, or traded with full blockchain ownership history.

The game is completely free-to-play without requiring NFTs. F2P players access every dungeon, PvP mode, and competitive feature using non-tradable assets. NFT holders gain planet breeding and marketplace trading but don’t get combat advantages. Skill determines victories, not wallet size. Daily login rewards include RON tokens, Animus, and Battle Pass XP just for checking in.

Download Apeiron: Godling Genesis free on Apple App Store, Google Play, Epic Games Store, or Mavis Hub. Create a Ronin wallet to enable blockchain features including NFT ownership, marketplace trading, and cross-platform progress synchronization. The game functions without crypto wallet for pure F2P gameplay using non-tradable assets.

Battle Pass seasons run approximately six weeks with free and premium tracks. Free progression unlocks Stardust, in-game items, and cosmetics.
