Bladerite is a free-to-play melee battle royale developed by Seeds Labs, founded in 2021 by industry veterans with over 15 years combined game development experience. The game launched PC beta in April 2023, followed by mobile releases on Apple Store and Google Play in February 2024, establishing the first multi-terminal interconnected Web3 battle royale where PC and mobile players compete together.

Seeds Labs secured $12 million in seed funding from notable investors including Avalanche’s Blizzard Fund, Solana Foundation, Hashkey Capital, UOB Ventures, and Signum Capital. The game has attracted over 100,000 users since beta launch, with the Genesis Hero NFT collection selling out 6,000 NFTs within six hours—the Death Hero Sethelia collection cleared in just 10 minutes.

Bladerite sets itself apart as the world’s first Web3 melee battle royale, emphasizing cold weapon combat over traditional firearms. Players explore maps, collect resources, craft equipment, and engage in tactical sword combat where timing attacks and understanding champion abilities determine victory. Built on Solana blockchain and supported by Google Cloud partnership for technical infrastructure, the game prioritizes player experience and economic fairness.

How Does Bladerite Work?

Combat centers on melee weapons including swords, knives, bows, and craftable equipment. Six champions launch at release—Riffa (Assassin) and five others—each with unique abilities and Ultimate skills. Players start with one champion, earning others by leveling accounts to maximum 30.

Game modes include Solo (last player standing), Duo (paired teams with revive mechanics), and exclusive Loot Mode for NFT holders. Loot Mode tracks performance on equipped Blade NFTs, distributing prize pools seasonally based on leaderboard rankings.

Maps feature fantasy environments with enemies ranging from armored goblins to giant knights. Crafting produces equipment like Thunder Boots and Storm Bracers—each providing stat buffs. Artifacts grant bonuses: Ancient Corner adds damage, Ancient Silk increases health, Ancient Bone strengthens defense.

Victory rewards loot boxes containing patterns and items. Box rarity determines unlock time, with only one unlockable simultaneously.

Digital Collectibles in Bladerite

Bladerite operates on Solana blockchain but issues no cryptocurrency token. The economy runs entirely on NFT trading through the built-in marketplace, prioritizing gameplay quality over tokenomics.

The Genesis Blade collection minted 6,000 Hero NFTs across six types at 0.5 SOL through Magic Eden Launchpad. Hero Skins function as cosmetic NFTs graded Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary—altering appearance without gameplay impact. Equipment and items exist as upgradeable NFTs tradable on the marketplace.

Three in-game currencies support the economy: Bladerite tokens upgrade NFTs, Gold (real currency) buys hero skins, and Dragonglass (earned free) purchases battle passes and items. Players upgrade patterns by combining identical ones of the same level.

The Sponsor System enables skilled players to compete using others’ NFTs, splitting rewards upon winning. Loot Mode provides NFT holder experiences with performance-based prize pools distributed seasonally.
