Stake your NFTs as hidden loot, send your Wombats underground on timed expeditions, and collect resources and rewards when they resurface. It runs on both WAX and EOS, making it one of the few staking games that bridges two major blockchain ecosystems from a single platform.
What is Wombat Dungeon Master?
Wombat Dungeon Master is an NFT staking game developed by Spielworks, the studio behind the Wombat multi-chain wallet and gaming platform. Spielworks has been building blockchain gaming infrastructure since 2018, growing the Wombat ecosystem to over 2.1 million registered users across WAX, EOS, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Avalanche. The game launched on both WAX and EOS in December 2021 and is accessible via browser — no app download required.
The game operates within the broader Wombat platform, which includes the Womplay reward system and multi-chain wallet. In late 2025, Mokho Media acquired Spielworks and Wombat, and Meta Arena subsequently initiated the process of folding Wombat into its ZK-powered Web3 gaming ecosystem. The game continues to run as normal through this transition.
How Does Wombat Dungeon Master Work?
The core loop is simple but strategic. As the Dungeon Master, you stake NFTs from dozens of supported collections inside your dungeon, hiding them as treasures. Each staked NFT carries a mining power value between 1 and 5,000, determined by rarity and the age of the NFT template. The higher the combined mining power of your hidden loot, the more points your Wombats accumulate per run — and those points convert into crypto rewards at the end of each season.
You choose from four expedition durations: 5 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, or 1 day. When Wombats return, they bring back resources — uranium, iron, and coal — plus a daily treasure chest that can drop item packs and NFT loot. Items are discoverable NFTs that upgrade your Wombat’s stats across five categories: speed, uranium harvest, max carriage, duration, and experience. You can stake up to 100 NFTs per blockchain simultaneously.
Multiplayer clan mechanics let you team up through burrows and banks, coordinating with other players to pool resources and share dungeon strategies. The Wombot Miner adds another layer — a craftable NFT companion built from Wombatium materials, starting at 300 mining power and upgradeable to 3,075 MP through blending. Each Wombot leveled up permanently removes items from circulation, reducing supply over time.
Digital Collectibles in Wombat Dungeon Master
The $WOMBAT token is the platform’s native currency, available on Polygon and other supported chains. Staking $WOMBAT unlocks VIP benefits in the Wombat app, a free prime subscription at higher tiers, an earning boost on materials in Dungeon Master, and seasonal drops of exclusive NFTs with in-game utility. A token burn mechanism is built into the economy: 50% of $WOMBAT spent in the Dungeon Master shop is burned, and 0.6% of AtomicHub trading volume on WAX funds ongoing buyback-and-burn activity.
NFTs staked in Dungeon Master cover a wide range of collections — CryptoMonkeys, MetaForce Comics, Exit Limbo, and dozens more are already integrated. Any NFT project on WAX or EOS can apply to be added, giving collections an additional utility layer and exposure to the platform’s user base. All items and collectibles earned in-game are tradeable on AtomicHub (WAX) and compatible EOS marketplaces. No token or wallet is required to start; you can connect a Wombat Wallet with an existing WAX or EOS account and begin staking immediately.
