What is Treeverse?
Treeverse is a top-down open-world classless MMORPG built on Immutable zkEVM by development studio Endless Clouds, led by NFT creator Loopify. The game takes place in the Arboros continent, where the mighty World Tree once sustained all life before corruption spread and fractured the world. Players begin their journey in Lorwick, a safe haven city at the Tree’s roots, then venture into procedurally-generated wilderness filled with monsters, hidden ruins, and valuable resources.
The game launched its early access alpha in March 2025 on Epic Games Store for Windows and Google Play for Android, with iOS support coming soon. What makes Treeverse unique is its classless progression system—instead of choosing a fixed character class, you customize your build through the Knowledge Tree, freely adjusting stats like Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity as you play. This flexibility lets you experiment with different playstyles and respec without starting over.
How Does Treeverse Work?
Getting started requires an Immutable Passport account. The tutorial drops you into Lorwick Town where NPC Nicolo guides you through crafting your first Iron Sword and Shield by gathering logs and pebbles. Once you’ve defeated starter enemies, the world opens up for dungeon runs.
Combat uses an energy-based system where energy refills by hitting enemies. This encourages weapon swapping mid-fight—open with a powerful two-handed sword, then switch to faster dual weapons to rebuild energy. The game features seven weapon types including bows, claws, hammers, and staffs, each with distinct playstyles.
Progression uses the Infusion system. Monster cores from dungeons slot into equipment, unlocking active skills. About 75% of upgrades require these cores. Dungeons have procedural variation each run with changing patterns and layouts.
You can play solo or in parties of up to four. Land Plots let you build customizable homes as resource hubs. Lorwick serves as the trading hub. Season 1 (April-May 2025) introduced competitive leaderboards with $END token rewards.
Digital Collectibles in Treeverse
Treeverse uses $END, an ERC20 token launched mid-2025 on Ethereum with zkEVM bridging planned. The token handles cosmetics, events, and rewards. You can play free without crypto, but NFT ownership adds gameplay benefits.
Three NFT collections form the economy. Timeless Avatars offer unique dialogue and quest interactions. NFTrees (421 unique 8-bit trees) produce buff-granting fruits—floor prices reached 13.8 ETH in early 2025. Land Plots allow customizable homes and resource hubs.
The marketplace runs on supply and demand for crafting materials, cosmetics, and equipment. Land owners can rent plots for passive income. Immutable zkEVM keeps fees minimal with cross-platform progression sync. Guilds offer shared resources and raid bonuses, with co-op boss raids requiring teamwork for high-reward outcomes.
