What is The Fabled?

Trinity of The Fabled is developed by Pontifex Software and published by Octavian Studios, which has worked on the game since 2019. It is a free download for Windows PC through the official website, and a Steam page is listed as coming soon. The latest official update is version 1.0.1, and the team has posted little since.

The game is set in the Abyss, a corrupted multiverse where a long-forgotten cataclysm tore apart reality, leaving portals open between fractured worlds. Players choose from three classes: Gods (divine, powerful, corruption-resistant), Warriors, and Demons, each suited to different combat approaches. Seasonal content rotates new worlds, enemies, and limited-time items through the Abyss as the narrative evolves.

How Does The Fabled Work?

Combat is Souls-inspired: enemies hit hard, punish mistakes, and require you to learn their patterns. The game has three interconnected areas, each with a boss encounter that drops legendary loot on defeat. Third-person positioning, dodge timing, and build composition determine survival more than gear level alone.

The game features AI-driven NPCs with branching dialogue trees that respond to player choices, with decisions affecting how the story develops over time. Dragon-riding mechanics add mounted combat as a travel and engagement option across the overworld.

Leaderboard events are open to players who hold $ABYS. Standard play is fully free with no token requirement.

Digital Collectibles in The Fabled

$ABYS (Abyss Fragments) is an ERC-20 token with a maximum supply of 600 million, running on Polygon. It serves as the in-game currency for minting items, entering leaderboard events, and staking. Token holders receive item airdrops and access to exclusive gear not available through standard play.

Summoning Keys (formerly MintPass and MintKey) on OpenSea gave holders free character and weapon mints. Weapons, artifacts, and character items earned in-game can be minted as NFTs using $ABYS, then traded or sold on the native marketplace. Staking $ABYS unlocks holder tiers with exclusive content, starting at 750 $ABYS for the first tier.

Blockchain features are fully optional, and the game runs as a standard free-to-play action RPG without any wallet or token interaction required.

Create a guest account or register on the official site and jump in. Pick your class (God, Warrior, or Demon), work through the three areas, and focus on boss encounters for the best loot drops.
