Trinity Of The Fabled
Do you enjoy punishing Souls-like combat in dark fantasy worlds? Trinity of The Fabled is a free-to-play third-person action RPG built in Unreal Engine 5 by Octavian Studios, featuring developers from EA, Activision, Ubisoft, and Warhammer 40K. Fight your way through the corrupted realms of the Abyss, defeat challenging bosses, and collect rare loot — with optional blockchain features layered on top for players who want them.
What is The Fabled?
Trinity of The Fabled is developed by Octavian Studios and published with support from Pontifex Software, with a core team drawing experience from AAA studios including Call of Duty and Warhammer 40K productions. Development began in 2019, and the game officially launched as a free public release on December 21, 2024 for PC, with distribution through the official website and the Elixir Games Launcher.
The game is set in the Abyss — a corrupted multiverse where a long-forgotten cataclysm tore apart reality, leaving portals open between fractured worlds. Players choose from three classes: Gods (divine, powerful, corruption-resistant), Warriors, and Demons, each suited to different combat approaches. Seasonal content rotates new worlds, enemies, and limited-time items through the Abyss as the narrative evolves.
How Does The Fabled Work?
Combat is Souls-inspired: enemies hit hard, punish mistakes, and require you to learn their patterns. Three interconnected areas are available at launch, each with a boss encounter that drops legendary loot on defeat. Third-person positioning, dodge timing, and build composition determine survival more than gear level alone.
The game features AI-driven NPCs with branching dialogue trees that respond to player choices, with decisions affecting how the story develops over time. Dragon-riding mechanics add mounted combat as a travel and engagement option across the overworld. Future updates plan to expand into a Desert Level with new enemy types and a new boss, alongside additional environments tied to the seasonal content model.
Arena Events offer competitive leaderboard play for $ABYS holders, with prizes awarded to top performers. Standard play is fully free with no token requirement.

Digital Collectibles in The Fabled
$ABYS (Abyss Fragments) is an ERC-20 token with a maximum supply of 600 million, running on Polygon. It serves as the in-game currency for minting items, accessing Arena Events, and staking for rewards. Token holders receive item airdrops and access to exclusive gear not available through standard play.
MintPass and MintKey NFTs on OpenSea grant holders early access benefits and new in-game characters as the game expands. Weapons, artifacts, and character items earned in-game can be minted as NFTs using $ABYS, then traded, sold, or rented on the native marketplace. Staking $ABYS generates magical items, weapons, and additional tokens over time. Regular burn events reduce the total supply.
Blockchain features are fully optional — the game runs as a standard free-to-play action RPG without any wallet or token interaction required.
